I like the interface better, and I think things ran smoother. Your miles may vary. But part of my decision to go to the Reverb G2 was the more streamlined in headset set up.

With a good wireless connection and Steam Link and/or Virtual Desktop, the Quest 3 is a very good VR headset. It's better for a beginner because you don't need the lighthouses et all, and you can use it standalone if you want (there are a couple of nice MR games out there).

Steam link works over network protocol so either WiFi or Ethernet cable in theory. I haven't tried connecting with Ethernet cable, because that means using a usbc to Ethernet adaptor connected to the quest and the cable would need to run to the router not the computer.
