Dec 7, 2024 · I think Graham not having the Floyd kid was felt in the secondary and that hurt Graham some in coverage. Graham and Glenvar had equal missed opportunities and costly turnovers were about the same to me. Graham's physicality did show in this game from about 8 minutes in the 4th to the final.

Dec 4, 2024 · On the defensive side, Graham’s defense always seems ahead of the offense and the defensive coaching staff is very knowledgeable, make adjustments, and teach those young men how to anticipate rather than sit back & react. In my opinion, Graham’s defense is what beat Union this year in the regular season & playoffs.

Dec 1, 2024 · I favor Graham playing at home, but Glenvar is capable of winning. Should be a good one. Graham is just very difficult to beat at Mitchell Stadium, especially when the cold weather has set in for the mountains and teams not from there do have an adjustment because it's just a different kind of cold. If at Glenvar, I think it's a toss up.

Dec 7, 2024 · Graham better bring its A game because it appears Strasburg is going to bring its A game and just not beat themselves. That pattern has become pretty clear with Strasburg for weeks on end and they just arent beating themselves. Graham had a fumbled kickoff return and Glenvar gave it right back to Graham a play or 2 later. Strasburg won't do that.

Against a passing team like Glenvar, the 2 injuries you don't want is a Defensive Lineman that blows up plays and gets pressure on the QB and a solid defensive back that can lock down the WRs of a passing team.

Oct 17, 2006 · Graham's 13 and 0 and given up 75 points for an average of 5.79 points per game, but even that is misleading. Very misleading. Probably 40 of those 75 are against their 2nd team and JV after the game is long out of reach.

Nov 23, 2024 · Graham won the first meeting 7-6 at Big Stone Gap. Graham's defense has improved quite a bit since that early season meeting. The defense has been playing great all season long. I don't know if or how much Union has improved, but this is a different Graham team from early in the season.

Nov 22, 2021 · Former UVA linebacker and NFL linebacker Yubrenal Isabelle (New England Patriots) has a son who is a freshmen at Graham, and Grahams Head Coach, Tony Palmer was an All State player on the Graham of 1989 title team, and Tony played a year at North Greenville in college, and he has a son in middle school who I understand is also going to be special.
