Aug 31, 2023 · Blough did look horrible in the preseason last year, but I do think he was borderline credible as the emergency starter in 2020 when Stafford broke his back. Didn't lead the team to any wins, but came close a couple of times.

Blough obviously isn't a stud but he's a pretty solid backup that's been in the league for a while now. The Falcons are not that scary a defense so as long as he has a few weapons I can see him being OK.

Jan 2, 2022 · I went to my Mom’s house for Thanksgiving like two years ago, and me and my brother in law turned on the Lions game because that was the first game of the day. Stafford was like scratched recently before that game iirc and David Blough was the backup who started and played, (and didn’t play that badly iirc at least that game.)
