The discord integration is in the PS5 beta phase atm. The feature mentioned in this post was also on XBoX a while a go later on they added full integration on it without the need of a phone.

The PS5 controller has a built in microphone so you can use your headset's microphone to speak to discord and the built in microphone to speak to the in-game chat.
