Dave Filoni made a much-loved carton that even die-hard fans will admit is a mixed bag. But the highs for them make the lows easy to overlook. I'm not a fan of his work on the shows really, and I didn't find his episodes of The Mandalorian to be particularly great, but he's definitely warned his spot at Lucasfilm and he seems like a good guy.

Apr 23, 2022 · Well, Dave Filoni is definitely more of a director than he is a writer, but even so, I think people have really overstated his obsession with bringing characters back? Book of Boba Fett and Mandalorian? He brought back three characters in total and only two of them were featured in episodes he wrote and directed.

But here are my problems with him. Number 1: He only cares about his own work. He only cares about his stories.

Then Andor comes out and it's like wow here's a Star Wars show that feels more like Star Wars than Filoni-Wars.
