Coco Gauff has defeated top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka 7-6, 6-3 and set up a showdown with Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen in the final of the WTA Finals in Riyadh.

Defiant Coco Gauff fought back to beat China's Zheng Qinwen 3-6 6-4 7-6(2) in a three-hour thriller on Saturday and become the youngest player to win the WTA Finals in 20 years and the first American champion since Serena Williams a decade ago.

Coco Gauff pulled off an incredible comeback at the Riyadh presented by PIF on Saturday, defeating Zheng Qinwen and earning the American the first year-ending championship title of her career.

The 20-year-old American came from 2-0 and 5-3 down in the final set and was two points from defeat at one stage.
