Varun Sardesai, Uddhav Thackeray's nephew, secured a victory in the Bandra East election, defeating NCP's Zeeshan Siddique by over 11,000 votes. Sardesai, making his political debut, attributed his win to his commitment to accessibility and clean record.

The high-profile seat has become a battleground between Zeeshan Siddique of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Varun Sardesai of Shiv Sena (UBT), and Trupti Sawant of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

Zeeshan Siddique, 32, is a politician from the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party and is currently leading. He contested the 2019 Maharashtra assembly election from a Congress ticket from the Vandre East assembly constituency and won.
