Emmanuel Haro was reported missing on Thursday after someone attacked his mother outside of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in the 34500 block of Yucaipa Boulevard, according to the family. Mother Rebecca Haro said she was changing her baby's diaper when someone punched her. When she came to, she ran into the sporting goods store and called 911.

The mother of a missing baby boy is no longer cooperating with authorities after she claimed he was kidnapped in Yucaipa. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said the mother’s story was inconsistent and they cannot rule out foul play in the disappearance of 7-month old Emmanuel.

As the search for missing seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro​ continues in San Bernardino County, with some fingers pointing towards his parents, the family's attorney is speaking out to shoot down speculation that they stopped cooperating with detectives.

The desperate search for a 7-month-old baby continued on Monday as San Bernardino County deputies combed through several areas in Yucaipa and Cabazon, including the family's home. Laurie Perez reports.

Seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro was last seen in the parking lot of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store on Thursday. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is investigating.

On Friday, Haro, her husband, and friends showed up at the Big 5 parking lot in Yucaipa to hand out flyers, desperate for Emmanuel's return. "To the person who took my son, please just give him back to us we'll forgive you. We won't bother you, we just want our baby boy," Emmanuel's father, Jake Haro, said.

Detectives are investigating the case as a possible kidnapping after the child's mother reported being attacked outside a retail store.

According to Riverside County records, the missing 7-month-old's father pleaded guilty to willful cruelty to a child following a 2018 arrest.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said investigators are unable to rule out foul play in the baby's disappearance.
