Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr in the forthcoming Beatles movies from filmmaker Sam Mendes, the drummer has confirmed.

E arlier this year, it was revealed that Skyfall and 1917 director Sam Mendes will helm four movies about The Beatles, all of which will be released over the course of one year. F

According to a February press release from Sony, The Beatles − which consisted of Starr, Paul McCartney , John Lennon and George Harrison − will get the biopic treatment not once, but four times − with a movie told from each member's perspective. Sam Mendes will direct all four films.
