The Lubbock Professional Firefighter's Association voiced their disapproval over Senate Bill 10, which was passed by the Senate at the second special session of Texas legislature. They say that they bill will negatively impact first responders and other public servants.

All of the proposals were passed by the Texas Senate during the previous special session, although they did not reach the governor’s desk due to a two-week walkout by House Democrats.
