The Tarrant Area Food Bank and a dedicated team of volunteers distributed thousands of free meals at AT&T Stadium on Thursday.

The North Texas and Tarrant Area Food Banks hosted mobile pantries Thursday to help families prepare for Thanksgiving. The Tarrant Area Food Bank provided food for 5,000 people who lined up in Arlington before dawn.

This is the busiest time of the year for the Tarrant Area Food Bank: it starts the week before Thanksgiving and it goes until January 1. The food bank does multiple mobile distributions, providing food directly to neighbors.

The food distribution by Tarrant Area Food Bank runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday. No ID or documents are required. First come, first serve.

The Tarrant Area Food Bank is holding an event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington where cars are getting packed with Thanksgiving food. Millions of pounds of produce and holiday staples are provided for those in need.
