TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Feeding Tampa Bay staff spent many hours preparing meals for those in need. Organizers said they plan to serve even more families than normal to ease some pressure on those impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Several groups will be offering hot meals, which is much-needed as many in the community may need extra support this holiday season amid hurricane recovery efforts.

Florida state parks: Open during regular hours, though three in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties are still closed due to storm damage. A couple to check out are Alafia River State Park (open 8 a.m. until sundown) in east Hillsborough County and Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park (open 8 a.m. until sundown) near Port Richey.
