Paramount has unveiled that the premiere of “South Park” Season 27 has been pushed from its original release on July 9 to July 23. The season premiere will air on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The creators of "South Park" are slamming a long-delayed merger between Paramount, the parent company of the series' home network Comedy Central, and Skydance, which has apparently disrupted new episodes of the series.

The creators primarily attribute the delay to the merger between Paramount Global, which is the parent company of Comedy Central, and Skydance Media. Although the announcement for the merger came a long time back — sometime last summer — the details of the merger haven’t been consolidated yet.
