SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son is pushing the idea of a vast $1tn artificial intelligence and robotics complex in the US state of Arizona that could include the establishment of a free-trade zone and the involvement of the world’s biggest chipmaker, TSMC.

SoftBank Group founder Masayoshi Son is envisaging setting up a $1 trillion industrial complex in Arizona that will build robots and artificial intelligence, Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

SoftBank is seeking to launch a $1 trillion industrial complex in Arizona to build AI and robotics. The firm is also looking to team up with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to launch the project. The trillion-dollar project, still in its early stages, is called Project Crystal Land.
