Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday embarked on a five-day official visit to China, with Beijing remaining silent on the revised proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) pact floated by the Himalayan nation.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has left for Beijing for a four-day official visit to the People's Republic of China.

Next year will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal. Nepalese Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli's four-day visit to China starting on Monday looks set to help open up new prospects for the development of China-Nepal relations by accelerating practical cooperation across the board.

Nepal and China to discuss various agendas, and agreements and memorandums of understanding are expected to be signed.

Leaders from multiple countries are scheduled to visit China on Monday, including Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Cambodian People's Party (CPP) President and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
