A Kalamazoo County, Mich., man hit the jackpot with a $626,575 Fantasy 5 win, thanks to a set of numbers he has played for 25 years.

(CBS DETROIT) - A burst of confetti seen on the Michigan Lottery app was the cheer that let a Wayne County man know he won over $1 million. The 57-year-old man chose to remain anonymous as he went through the lottery winner claim process for his Lotto 74 jackpot. Michigan Lottery officials reported his story Wednesday.

“When confetti came up on the screen with the amount of $1.05 million, all I could think was, ‘It’s a miracle! An early Christmas miracle!’ It’s pretty amazing to invest $1 and win $1.05 million,” he said. “Just like that, your financial future is clearer.” The lucky player visited the state lottery’s headquarters to claim his prize.

Four Michigan Lottery prizes worth at least $1 million were won or claimed in December, according to the Michigan Lottery. The top prize was on a Lotto 47 ticket purchased at Liquor Land in Eastpointe that won $1.1 million. Another Lotto 47 ticket won the second largest prize. The player chose to receive a lump sum payment totaling about $728,000. He said he plans to share with his family and save for retirement.
