A double weather warning has been issued for North Wales. The Met Office has updated its weather warnings for the next 48 hours. There are two yellow thunderstorm warnings in place for the region. One covers the whole of North Wales while the warning for tomorrow spares the west of the region (maps below).

The national meteorological service has now changed the warning to cover the whole of Saturday, to reflect the "main risk period" for regions like the East Midlands. While the start time has been pushed back to midnight on Saturday, the time the warning will be over has now been extended to 9pm on the same day.
