With Vladimir Guerrero Jr. having signed his extension, Kyle Tucker is the lone marquee free agent available this offseason, and he's a guy the Yankees absolutely should be expressing interest in.
The Yankees are expected to be among teams interested in Tucker with two of their starting outfielders (Cody Bellinger and Trent Grisham) heading to free agency. This season, Tucker hit .266 with a .841 OPS, 22 home runs and 91 RBI. He missed some time with a fractured right hand and a calf strain.
Bellinger had a solid season with the Yankees in 2025, slashing .272/.334/.480 with 29 home runs and 98 RBIs. Bellinger seems to have rediscovered at least a portion of the player he was in the late 2010’s, and the one that earned the NL MVP award back in 2019.
