Ahead of the LA Auto Show this week, Hyundai showed off its brand-new three-row all-electric SUV with a suite of features that the Korean automaker is convinced will appeal to fickle American car buyers.

South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Company this week unveiled its all-new, battery-powered Ioniq 9 at a global launch event held at the iconic Goldstein House in Los Angeles. This follows the release of teaser images of the vehicle over the past two months.

The new seven-seater hits US dealers in early 2025, a welcome addition to the small but fast-growing market of full-size EVs.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 features a huge 110kWh battery offering up to 385 miles of range. The three different power options are Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range All-Wheel Drive and Performance All-Wheel Drive, the latter with its high-powered motors on the front and rear axles getting from 0-62mph in just 5.2 seconds.
