At this point, there was little more than a shrug. When Justin Strnad learned in September that the Broncos were placing Dre Greenlaw on injured reserve, there was no flinch. There was no need.
Engram was off to a slow start in 2025 and, thus, hasn’t delivered as much as expected on the two-year deal he signed this offseason. The good news is that he played well in Week 5 and did some good things in Week 6. If this keeps up, he should raise his OTC valuation.
The Broncos’ defense smothered the Jets in London, covering for an inconsistent offense. Denver sacked Justin Fields nine times and holds a runaway lead in that category this season, also seeing its secondary provide a considerable boost to open the year.
One of the best defenses in the NFL could get a boost this week. After sitting out the last four games on injured reserve with a quad injury, inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw is eligible to return from IR this week. The keyword is eligible, because we don't yet know if he will return this week.
