Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers bounced back to earn a 126-116 win over the Golden State Warriors for their first preseason victory on Sunday, Oct. 12. James went 0-1 in just four minutes of play during the first half of the game before seeing more time on the court in the second half.

The Lakers built a lead up to 21 with their defensive activity. The Warriors went on a run to cut it to 14 late in the first half, although Reaves was fouled on a triple at the buzzer and made three free throws to give L.A. a 63-46 lead at the break.

Podziemski was the star for shorthanded Golden State, with a stellar 23-point, eight assist night on 10 of 16 shooting. Kuminga poured in 13 points, and Gary Payton II had 11 points. Austin Reaves led the Lakers with 21 points. Undrafted guard LJ Cryer scored 11 points, all in the fourth quarter.
