Weak Ford EV sales are causing a bit of chaos. Roughly 4,000 workers are slated to be laid off as Ford works to cut costs.

The odds are still very good that EVs will eventually dominate new auto sales. The transition hasn’t been canceled. It’s more likely to be most visible after 2030.
