The Kopri-Pachpakhadi Assembly seat in Maharashtra is a very high-stakes seat as CM Eknath Shinde, sitting chief minister, contested against Uddhav Thackeray’s Sena Kedar Dighe.

In the Shahapur Assembly, Ajit Pawar-led NCP fielded Daulat Daroda, who won with a margin of 1672 votes. Daroda defeated the NCP candidate Barora Pandurang Mahadu, who was led by Sharadchand Pawar. Mahadu lost and received a total of 71409 votes.

Maharashtra 2024 elections saw BJP-led Mahayuti win with 152 seats, while MVA struggled with 130 seats. Key leaders retain power positions.

Eknath Shinde started his political journey in Thane. He earlier won Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly seat for three consecutive terms in 2009, 2014, and 2019.

Incumbent Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that upon the final declaration of the election results, the alliance will collectively make a decision on who will be the CM face.

Shinde is locked in a Sena vs Sena battle against Shiv Sena (UBT)'s candidate Kedar Dighe. Kedar Dighe is the nephew of Shinde's political guru and Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe.
