Born Again, apparently. Warning: Spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again episode 8 below. Towards the beginning of Daredevil: Born Again episode 8, Matt goes to visit Bullseye in prison to interrogate him about his motives to kill Foggy.

A lot has happened to Daredevil in the first season of Born Again. Foggy died; his nemesis ran for mayor of New York and won; his attempts to go straight have hit some roadblocks; he dealt with a serial killer who targeted two people he knew personally. Also, he got a girlfriend.

However, Matt and Frank's conversation, rather than being a starting point for fans to see more of The Punisher, resulted in the opposite. There has been no appearance of The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again since their conversation. Here are some reasons why The Punisher might be absent in Daredevil: Born Again.
