After authoring a masterpiece, Framber Valdez still needed a modicum of support. Yainer Diaz provided it. Diaz hit an opposite-field, walk-off home run that gave the Houston Astros a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday at Daikin Park and validated one of the signature starts of Valdez's career.

In addition to the change of title sponsor of the ballpark, Daikin Park made a number of improvements that fans are starting to notice.

"That's (Valdez's) game, and he was going to stay out there, and he was going to decide the fate of his own game," manager Joe Espada said.

The inaugural All-Stars Car Show will be held at Daikin Park in Houston on August 2, 2025, marking the first time a Major League Baseball stadium hosts such an event.
