China's commerce ministry on Thursday announced a series of policy measures aimed at boosting the country's foreign trade, including pledging to strengthen financing support to firms and expand exports of agricultural products.

Concerns are rising over how potential China tariffs from the new Trump administration could impact the tech sector. This includes semiconductors, crucial for smartphone production, given potential shifts in trade policy and relations with Taiwan.

For the second largest economy, China, a big source of concern is tariffs against Chinese products. During the campaign trail, Trump had stated that he would impose at least 60% tariffs on Chinese imports and 20% tariffs on imports from all other countries.
