It may come as no surprise that Californians will be paying more to host Thanksgiving dinner this year than other states, according to a recent study. A November study from Go Banking Rates found that the Golden States was the fifth most expensive place to host Thanksgiving dinner,

The average Florida Thanksgiving meal cost $128.76 in six meters – 7% cheaper than California, with a $10.36 turkey (39% lower) and $118.40 sides (3% less). Texans in 12 meters will pay $128.26 for their feast (8% cheaper than the Golden State) from the $14.53 on turkey (15% lower) and $113.72 on sides (7% less).

Indiana residents can be thankful for a Thanksgiving dinner that’s less expensive to prepare this year compared to 2023. Shopping for the spread costs about 2% less this year, according to Indiana Farm Bureau’s Thanksgiving market basket survey.
