Oilers superstar Connor McDavid will not return to his team's game against the Jets after picking up an injury.

The Edmonton Oilers and Connor McDavid don't appear quite so lucky. McDavid had to leave Thursday's matchup against Winnipeg with a lower-body injury. He was hurt on a rather innocuous play, skating past Josh Morrissey into the zone and taking a bit of a bump to the left midsection.

Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch did not have an update on McDavid, who sustained a lower-body injury during the second period, or goalie Stuart Skinner, who went into concussion protocol following a collision in the crease with Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi at 15:03 of the third.
