Vice President Kamala Harris has captured Delaware’s three electoral college votes in the 2024 election, according to the Associated Press.

Typically, the wait isn't that long. In 1896, William Jennings Bryant needed two days before conceding the election to President William McKinley. Since then, most candidates have conceded either the same day or the next day with two exceptions – 2000 and 2020.

Democrat Kamala Harris won Delaware's presidential contest Tuesday, easily defeating Republican Donald Trump. Harris' victory in solid-blue Delaware was a foregone conclusion, given the stranglehold Democrats have held on the state's three electoral votes for decades.
