Entering the offseason with over $130 million in projected salary cap space and four top-100 draft picks, the New England Patriots are in prime position to address one of their biggest needs: a lack of dynamic playmakers on the offensive side of the ball.

Quarterback Drake Maye named the player he would like to have on the New England Patriots in the 2025 NFL season.

Speaking to Chris Long, Drake Maye stressed that Bill Belichick's influence in New England is still felt to this day.

“We brought in two rookie receivers, Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker, that were feeling it out this year,” Maye said. “They both battled some injuries. Hopefully expecting one of them — if not both — to make a splash this year.”

Polk and Baker were both expected to be important contributors as rookies for a Patriots team in the middle of a roster rebuild. However, Polk recorded just 12 receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns over 15 games. Meanwhile, Baker finished the campaign with one catch for 12 yards across 11 contests.
