Al Horford has signed with a new team
Al Horford has officially committed to playing a 19th NBA season, and the veteran big man will do so for a new team. Horford agreed to a multi-year contract with the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, his agent told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Al Horford only needed one preseason game and 14 minutes to show how big a difference he can make for the Warriors.
With Horford officially signed to the Warriors roster, head coach Steve Kerr and the team are excited about what he brings to the Bay Area.
During the league-altering summer of 2016, Horford left the Hawks, who drafted him No. 3 overall in 2007, to sign with the Celtics in free agency. His arrival, on a four-year, $113 million deal, heralded a new era for the Celtics.
