The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg speculated that billionaire and Trump ally Elon Musk is “the actual vice president,” deeming Vice President-elect J.D. Vance “an interim.” Musk actively assisted President-elect Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 presidential election and has since been assigned to co-head the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency.

“I believe Elon Musk is the actual vice president,” she said. “Yes, I believe that. Because I think JD Vance, he’s kind of an interim. But I believe that Musk is the real actual vice president. He’s making decisions, he’s doing things. So I think, ‘Why doesn’t he have to give up X?’ I’m musing.”
