Shares of Reliance Power rose 5% on December 12 after its subsidiary, Reliance NU Suntech, won India's largest 930 MW solar project in an e-reverse auction by SECI, conducted on December 9, 2024.

Reliance Power announced that SECI's debarment notice against them has been withdrawn immediately. This means Reliance Power and its subsidiaries are now eligible to participate in all SECI tenders. SECI had earlier debarred them from future tenders for three years.

Reliance NU Suntech, a subsidiary of Reliance Power, won a 930 MW solar energy contract with battery energy storage system project (BESS) from the SECI in an e-reverse auction held on 9th December 2024.

Reliance Power rose 5 per cent to hit a high of Rs 46.24 on BSE. The company notified that, according to the tender's terms, its subsidiary will be required to install a minimum storage capacity of 465 MW/1,

Reliance NU Suntech, a subsidiary of Reliance Power, secured a 930 MW solar energy project with a 465 MW/1,860 MWh battery storage system in a SECI auction. The 25-year project, won at a tariff of Rs 3.

The project will guarantee a peak power supply of four hours daily. Shares of Reliance Power Ltd ended at ₹44.04, down by ₹0.62, or 1.39%, on the BSE.
