Sebastian Cossa’s NHL debut was shaping up as a disastrous night just minutes after he entered the game. It will instead be a night to remember for the Detroit Red Wings’ prized goaltending prospect.

After Husso gave up three goals on seven shots in the first period to the Sabres on Monday night, leaving the Red Wings in an early 3-2 hole, Lalonde tapped Cossa to come on in relief for his NHL debut.

The Red Wings desperately needed a spark Monday in Buffalo and got one from an unlikely source, goaltender Sebastian Cossa.
