The United Arab Emirates says police have arrested three Uzbek nationals for the killing of an Israeli-Moldovan rabbi.

Israeli intelligence is investigating the disappearance of Israeli-Moldovan citizen Rabbi Zvi Kogan in the United Arab Emirates in what is being called a "terrorist incident."

Israeli authorities say the abduction and killing of Rabbi Zvi Kogan was an act of antisemitic terrorism, but investigators have not yet stated a motive.

“The murder of the late Chabad emissary Zvi Kogan in the Emirates is a cowardly and despicable antisemitic act of terror,” Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on social media after Kogan’s body was discovered. “The State of Israel will not rest nor be silent until those responsible for this criminal act pay for their actions.”

Israel has pledged to bring to justice those responsible for the murder of a prominent rabbi in the United Arab Emirates, denouncing his killing as a “heinous antisemitic terrorist act”. Zvi Kogan, who ran a Kosher shop in Dubai and worked for the Orthodox Jewish group Chabad,
