Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter was honored with the pageantry of a funeral in the nation's capital before a second service in his tiny Georgia hometown.

Among the invited guests to the private service include Carter's family, members of the Maranatha Baptist Church and Plains-area family and friends of the Carter's.
