An inquiry has heard that the former chief executive of the hospital where Lucy Letby murdered seven babies told her “we’ve got your back” in an attempt to calm her family. Tony Chambers, who stepped down from his post at the countess of Chester hospital in 2018, has been accused of failing to act quickly enough after doctors raised concerns.
