Emma Raducanu said “I trust my body a lot more now” having reached the Korea Open quarterfinal to face top seed Daria Kasatkina, after another battling win on Thursday.

Emma Raducanu survived an injury scare to reach her fifth quarter-final of the season at the Korea Open. The British No. 3 called the physio and had her foot taped up but stormed through to beat eighth seed Yue Yuan 6-4 6-2. She could now face No. 1 seed Daria Kasatkina.

Emma Raducanu offered an unexpected take on her controversial scheduling issues on Thursday, stressing the importance of matchplay and claiming that she has been “nursing a few niggles in the last couple months that I kept pretty quiet”.
