Don Cheadle is set to play the title role, a jazz-playing killer, in the crime thriller Canyon, from the writer of John Wick

Canyon stars Don Cheadle as a a part-time jazz musician and full-time killer who protects young siren pulled into a turf war between crime families.

Don Cheadle has been tapped to star in a new movie called Canyon. Cheadle was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award for his performance in 2004’s Hotel Rwanda. He’s also known for playing James “Rhodey” Rhodes/War Machine in the MCU and recently played a character named Sean Charles in Willaim Goldenberg’s Unstoppable,

Don Cheadle has signed on to lead the musical thriller ‘Canyon’. The 59-year-old actor is set to star in director Colin Tilley’s upcoming movie for Alcon Entertainment, which will follow Canyon - a part-time jazz musician and a full-time assassin - who finds himself as the unlikely protector of a young siren who has been dragged into an all-out war between feuding crime families.
