The Akron Police Department is investigating the shooting of a 44-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon. Police say the shooting victim is in stable condition.

Akron police responded to a reported shooting in the 200 block of Cole Avenue around 5 p.m. and found a 20-year-old man on a porch with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
