Greensboro police began a homicide investigation after a person was found dead on Monday, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release. Around 12:25 p.m., Greensboro police responded to Yanceyville Road near King Fisher Trail when they were told about a dead person.

The Greensboro Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying the homicide victim who was found near Yanceyville Road on Monday afternoon. A portion of Yanceyville Road from Kalon Drive to Archergate Road was closed Monday after officers responded to a call of a body on the embankment where Yanceyville Road crosses over Lake Townsend.
