A 7-year-old golden retriever needed rescued from a “strenuous” 9-mile hike in the White Mountains because of a paw injury and exhaustion, New Hampshire rescuers said.

On Monday, a strenuous hike turned too hard for one pup, who was assisted by volunteers to safely on the Franconia Ridge in New Hampshire.

A Golden Retriever named Crosby had to be rescued on Monday just after 3:30 p.m. after he became exhausted and had small tissue damage following a hike on a New Hampshire trail, an animal rescue organization said.
