Exit polls have predicted significant gains for the BJP after the Lok Sabha setback. Projections by Martize showed the NDA winning 7 seats and the Samajwadi Party bagging 2 seats.

The BJP and its allies emerged victorious in seven of the nine assembly seats that went to bypolls, showcasing its continued strength in Uttar Pradesh politics. The party’s robust campaign and grassroots outreach seem to have resonated with voters across key constituencies.

The BJP was leading in four seats while the Samajwadi Party was ahead in two of the nine Assembly seats for which bypolls were held, according to Election Commission trends on Saturday (November 23, 2024).

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won seven of the nine assembly seats for which the bypolls were held on November 20. The NDA not only improved its tally over 2022,

The BJP emerged victorious in five seats and was leading in one at 6 pm, while the SP secured Karhal and Sishamau seats

The BJP is likely to win 6, two more than what it won in 2022. Its alliance partner RLD is also ahead in 1 seat. The Samajwadi Party (SP), which stunned the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, is ahead in just two seats.

The ruling BJP is leading in seven out of nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh whereas the Samajwadi Party had retained the Sisamau seat in Kanpur and was leading in Karhal seat in Mainpuri.
