OPPO has recently teased the Find N5's extreme thinness, as well as stating it will have an "unprecedented" waterproofing rating. OPPO is continuing to run the teaser engine as it builds interest around its next flagship foldable.

Oppo showcased the crease on the Oppo Find N5 next to a Galaxy Z Fold 6. Ever since the beginning, companies have been coming out with foldable phones with diminishing creases… with the exception for Samsung.

In a new post on Twitter/X, Oppo’s Pete Lau shows off the lack of a display crease on the new Find N5 foldable. In the shared image, there’s a very slight visible indication that there’s a hinge on the device, but it doesn’t seem to drop below the line of the screen at all.

The Magic V3's 4.4mm thickness when unfolded is only marginally larger than the USB-C port, so for OPPO to go even thinner is a considerable achievement. In fact, teasers shared by the manufacturer back in January show that the device is only a smidgen thicker than the width of the USB-C port.

Oppo has claimed that this will be the thinnest foldable ever, with the phone appearing to be as thick as a USB C port (4mm) when unfolded. Currently, the thinnest foldable phone is the 4.35 mm thick Honor Magic V3.

Most of the teasers for the N5 so far had focused on how thin it is - but with foldable display tech improvements, Oppo has managed to nearly eliminate the crease.
