While Pakistan were originally scheduled to host the ninth edition of the Champions Trophy, recent events have made the possibility of the ICC moving the tournament out of the country likelier than ever.

The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be hosted across three venues in Pakistan over February and March next year. But India, who have not toured Pakistan since 2008, told the ICC their government had not given them permission to travel to Pakistan for the event earlier this month.

The BCCI has reportedly been denied permission by the Indian government to send the Indian team to Pakistan, citing strained diplomatic relations between the two nations.
