Town Center at Cobb reopens Wednesday after closure from being past due on paying power bills
COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Town Center at Cobb reopened a little after 11 a.m. Wednesday, the mall said on Facebook, after shutting down unexpectedly due to unpaid bills. "We're OPEN!" the mall posted at 11:20 a.m.
Town Center mall in Kennesaw closes because of ‘highly delinquent’ power bills
Town Center at Cobb is now closed after its power was shut off by Georgia Power, which said the Kennesaw mall has “highly delinquent” bills despite a grace period. The power company said in a statement that it tried to work with the mall’s owners for several months and “provided numerous solutions to assist them in avoiding disconnection.”
Kohan Realty Group faced foreclosure last summer before refinancing the mall with new debt that matures in February 2026.
