Lawyers for the families who lost loved ones in the crashes of two 737 Max jets said the DOJ intends to drop all criminal charges against Boeing.

The Justice Department may drop its criminal prosecution of Boeing for allegedly misleading U.S. regulators about the 737 Max jetliner before two of the planes crashed and killed 346 people, according to a weekend court filing.

The Justice Department advised families of victims of two 737 Max crashes that it was considering a plan to drop a previous agreement under which Boeing would have pleaded guilty.
