If you want someone for your next celebrity roast, Ichiro Suzuki could be your guy. Mixing sneaky humor with heartfelt messages, the first Japanese-born player to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame stole the show Sunday in Cooperstown.

That’s why when Ichiro Suzuki broke out a zinger about the Marlins during his Baseball Hall of Fame induction speech Sunday — which the Japanese legend delivered entirely in English — he was not as quick to laugh as the rest of the crowd in Cooperstown.

Lefty starter CC Sabathia, outfielder Ichiro Suzuki, and lefty reliever Billy Wagner were voted into the Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association of America. First baseman Dick Allen and outfielder Dave Parker were voted into Cooperstown by the Hall of Fame's Classic Baseball Era Committee.
