Bills introduced to end fluoride requirement in Arkansas drinking water
State Sen. Clint Penzo, R-Springdale, and state Rep. Matt Duffield, R-Russellville, introduced two bills Wednesday to change Arkansas’ policy on its use. Senate Bill 2 would repeal the “statewide fluoridation program,” which requires water utilities serving more than 5,000 people to follow State Board of Health rules on fluoride levels.
As Kennedy looks to overhaul one of the country’s largest health bureaucracies, his concerns over fluoride appear to be gaining traction across the country.
