Jim Abrahams, who along with Jerry and David Zucker made up the filmmaking trio behind the spoof comedies 'Airplane!' and 'Naked Gun,' has died at 80.

Jim Abrahams, part of the team behind such comedy touchstones as Airplane!,' the 'Naked Gun' films and Police Squad!, died November 26 in Santa Monica at 80.

The screenwriting team of Mr. Abrahams and brothers David and Jerry Zucker often cast veteran dramatic actors in their seriously silly movies.
